Many genealogists rely on software programs to organize their family tree data. One genealogy software company is taking the concept a few steps further by offering products that can enhance your family research.
The newest version of Family Tree Maker genealogy software has been released in a public beta test form for everyone to try. Ancestry.com says while the beta test is free, it will not function after the program goes on sale in August.
Mac users now have a couple of new options to consider in the search for genealogy software. The two programs have both been released within the last week. They are iFamily for Tiger 2.2 and MacFamilyTree 4.4.9.
The maker of one of the newest genealogy software programs on the market has released its latest version, four years after the debut of its product. GenSmarts is touted as a new type of software that uses artificial intelligence to make research suggestions.
