National Archives Announces Summer Hours & Programs
Anyone planning a genealogy research trip to our nation’s capitol in the near future might want to make note of some interesting offerings in the area in May.
During the month, the National Archives will feature a series of programs highlighting records from its holdings. All programs are free and open to the public and will be held in the National Archives Building and at the National Archives at College Park, Maryland. Read more »


It’s now two months and counting until the National Genealogical Society conference in May. The annual event will be held May 16 - 19 in Richmond, Virginia. This year’s theme is “Rediscover Virginia”, and coincides with the 400th anniversary of the Jamestown settlement.
The Federation of Genealogical Societies holds its 2007 conference August 15 - 18 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The event is hosted by the Allen County Public Library. This year’s theme is “A Meeting at the Crossroads of America.”
